Tuxedos and Smiling Faces

And they sat in their tuxedo-ed dinner parties
Discussed tomorrow
The future
No harm was meant.
No evil thought of
Yet they were alone
In their revelry
In their white halls
Where politicians and celebrities alike
Meant no harm to
Masses they purpoted to help
While living off their ignorance
And their honesty
And liberty
Sitting comfortably
While their actions
Or inactions
Led to the deaths of thousands
The poverty of millions
Innocents
School children
And wedding guests
Die in rubble
Dust blowing over their diseased corpses
While the heroes, the celebrities,
The Nobel peace prize winners
Laugh over jokes and selfies
And they call it
Democracy
They call it Justice

They call it
peace
